OMD FINLAND IN BRIEF

With a history of just over 41 years in the Finnish market, OMD has a strong local  footprint. Originally founded as Datum (as a part of Oy Mainos Reklam Taucher Ab) it was acquired by 1996 by Omnicom and rebranded Datum OMD. Today, we are around 60 people in OMD Finland with a turnover of 56 million euros and a revenue of 5.7 million after a great 2016, where we enjoyed an organic growth of almost 20%.

OMD’s strong global performance last year is reflected in the Gunn Report for media 2016, with OMD being named the most-awarded agency network for the 11th year in a row by the Gunn Report for Media. This is not just pure luck, but a result of hard work, determination and creativity in focus 247. With creativity strongly in our dna – OMD was launched with the unification of the media operations of three of Omnicom Group's global advertising agencies: BBDODDB, and TBWA. The creative background has made working for OMD such a pleasure compared with many other media agency networks.

OMD FINLAND – From media to marketing

I was hired to "reboot" OMD Finland. This meant making sure that the company is fit for the future by expanding our offering from purely media into a broader marketing-led offering. This change is part of the broader OMD EMEA PIVOT that was launched in December 2015.
